Common Questions

Is it legal to use a radar detector?

Yes. Radar detectors are legal to use in passenger vehicles in 49 out of 50 US states. The only places where they are not permitted are Virginia and Washington D.C. If you drive in any other state, you're good to go.

What does the false alert filter actually do?

The built-in DSP chip distinguishes between real traffic signals and interference from automatic doors, blind spot monitors on nearby cars, and other common sources. Fewer unnecessary beeps, more reliable alerts.

What's the difference between City and Highway mode?

City mode reduces sensitivity for dense urban signal environments. Highway mode opens full sensitivity and max range for open roads.

Does it remember my settings when I turn off the car?

Yes. Built-in memory retention saves your mode, volume, and preferences. Start your car and it picks up right where you left off.

How is it powered?

12V power outlet (cigarette lighter) using the included cable. Turns on and off with your ignition.

Is the suction mount stable on rough roads?

Yes. Pressure-lock mechanism stays firm on bumpy surfaces, hot weather, and cold mornings.
